Hello!

You have reached the homepage of 'Mezmorize' aka Mezmorizingmage. I now own 3 websites, the first being the one you are viewing and the second being my main website OldGameHacking.com. Both Mezmorizingmage.com and OldGameHacking.com are currently only redirect addresses to Google's Blogger.

Today I announce ownership of my third website RetroGamingFiles.com, for use as a 150 GB file server. Unlike the previous 2 websites I had already owned, this one is hosted by GoDaddy.com. Any post made before this one that contained a download link, should be ignored because it could possibly and probably contain a dead link.

Instead of switching between multiple accounts and sites, I've decided to re-purpose this site since I never really used it lately. I won't use GoDaddy's website builder and such, but use it for hosting files to be direct-linked to this site and OldGameHacking.com. So for now on, I will post retro gaming file post here with direct links from RetroGamingFiles.com, whenever I'm not busy on OldGameHacking.com.

I decided to give back to the retro community by paying for the hosting of some files, so Merry Christmas! The reason I have chosen to host retro gaming related stuff is because of how many old sites I've seen disappear from the 'net over the years. Services such as GeoCities shutting down, hard-drive failure and general lack of interest has caused many homebrew applications to be nearly, if not impossible, to find. I'm not saying that I promise to keep the server going for 10 years, but any amount of time would only help with keeping files alive on the internet.

Consider donating, whether it be hard to find files, or money. :-)

Sony PS1 Stuff...

pSX v1.13 Cheat Edition.exe or http://www.megaupload.com/?d=880T6ENI
http://cheatengine.org/

To find the PlayStation's RAM location, simply fill out B4
Put a hex value in B8 to convert it to decimal
Put a decimal value in D9 to convert it to hex
To convert a Cheat Engine address to GameShark, fill out both B4 and B23
To convert a GameShark code to a Cheat Engine address, fill out both B4 and B18

1. Launch the above emulator, and run the included CodeBreaker disc...

2. The overall goal is to recreate the following code, using Cheat Engine:
Main Menu Highlighting Modifier
301FFA34 00??

Launch Cheat Engine and select the process 'psxfin.exe'.
Change the scan type to Byte and use the image below for the values to scan for.

3. After only a couple scans, you will be left with only a few possible addresses.
The correct address will always end with the digit 4.
And the correct address should always be the last one...

4. Double click the address to add it to your Cheat Engine code list.
After that, double click the address so you can copy it using Ctrl+C.

5. Now, go back up to the spreadsheet and click the button that says 'Click to edit'.
Paste in your Cheat Engine address you just found into the blue cell, and after that the conversion formula is ready to go.

With the blue cell filled out, now you can scan and dump the exact 2MB of the PlayStation's RAM within the emulator. Cell B13 is the RAM start, and cell B14 is the RAM ending.

To save a RAM dump as a file, with Cheat Engine:
Memory viewer -> File -> Save Memory Region (without CE header).

6. Now launch any other disc you would like to hack using the commands 'Insert CD Image' and 'reset'.
After finding an address you would like to make a GameShark code, simply paste it into cell B23.
The GS code will be complete, minus it's code type of 3, 8, D etc.

If you found the address with Cheat Engine using the Byte Scan method, put a 3 in front of the code. If you scanned for 2 bytes, add an 8 in front of the output code...

Note:
Try not to close out the emulator, or the RAM area and conversion formula will be wrong and you will need to relaunch CodeBreaker to re-fill out the blue cell.
